Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

Location: Green Bay, WI

Position Summary:

The CFO works as a strategic business partner with the senior leadership team and leads the Accounting team to support and educate on the financial needs of the Company. This position has primary responsibility for managing and streamlining the financial related activities of the Company. The CFO will serve as a credible, knowledgeable and trusted source as well as foster and help implement various aspects of the company’s strategic plan.

Strategic Business Partner and Leader

  • Lead and develop a strong Accounting team which includes talent acquisition as needed
  • Strategic financial business partner on Executive team and 401k fiduciary committee
  • Collaborate with CEO and President to create and establish yearly financial budgets that align with the company's plan for growth and expansion
  • Provide executive team/Branch Managers with advice on the financial implications of business activities and work cooperatively to effectively develop ideas and solutions to business challenges
  • Collaborate with Branch/Corporate Managers to educate on financials and identify additional reporting and analysis needs to ensure transparency and understanding
  • Participate in pivotal decisions as they relate to the strategic plan and operations model (e.g. acquisitions)
  • Form and manage capital request and budgeting process in collaboration with Director of Operations
  • Participate in developing, implementing and fostering of the Company's strategic plan

Financial Information and Processes

  • Develop and sustain automated procedures (e.g. commissions, rebates, sales reporting, expense tracking, return authorizations, etc.)
  • Prepare and review all internal and external financial reporting (e.g. ledger accounts, bank activity)
  • Report monthly and yearly financial results to executive staff and provide appropriate comparison models and data
  • Negotiate and review credit insurance in collaboration with VP of Credit
  • Partner with CEO on monthly and year end financials
  • Negotiate business insurance in collaboration with functional stakeholders

Compliance

  • Review and ensure application of appropriate internal controls and financial procedures
  • Oversee and/or initiate timely preparation and filing of all local, state and federal income tax returns
  • Lead audits with CPA firm, FSC, and Government as required
  • Oversee annual physical inventory audit with external auditors
  • Set up and manage company credentials for new states as needed
  • Risk management duties (insurance coverage, etc.) as determined from time-to-time

External Relationship Management

  • Maintain professional relationships with bankers, accountants, and investment advisors
  • Represent the company in financial matters with customers and suppliers

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field (MBA preferred)
  • Professional accounting designation (CPA or CMA) preferred
  • 10+ years’ experience in a senior financial managerial position including experience in financial reporting and analysis, cash flow management and regulatory requirements
  • Prior experience leading a team preferred
