Engineered Wood Specialist - Sun Prairie

Location: Sun Prairie, WI

Position Summary:

This is a professional position responsible for designing layouts and generating estimates for new construction, remodel and commercial projects. This position requires exceptional attention to detail and motivation to provide a high level of design.

• Design and lay out floor joists, rafters and walls for new home, remodel and commercial projects.
• Manage material estimates and arrange on-time deliveries.
• Gather customer-specific information to accurately address customer needs.
• Note market trends and keep in close communication with sales for planning purposes.
• Attend sales and other organizational meetings.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Framing preferred but not required
• Experience using design software
• Knowledge of standard construction practices
• Ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications preferred but not required
