A Family Legacy Since 1940, Amerhart has grown from a small insulation products distributor to one of the largest independently owned lumber and building materials distributors in the Midwest.
With over 300 TEAM members across nine locations, Amerhart’s commitment to providing BEYOND THE ORDER® service to our customers has defined our culture for over 75 years.
Together, we will inspire our communities to build their version of the American Dream.
Building on our legacy of creating and sustaining unique relationships, Amerhart will be relevant by investing in people, technology, and experiences that help our communities grow and prosper.
Our business is 100% local. We are reliant on the communities in which we operate to maintain reliable infrastructure for our trucks, provide talented people to fill our job openings, and so much more. Helping our communities grow and prosper is, therefore, not an option – it’s a duty.
While we believe operating a growing and profitable business is the best way for us to have a positive impact on our communities, we also recognize that there are many other needs that exist. In 2004 we created the Amerhart Foundation to help address these needs.
Since its inception, Amerhart has donated over $900,000 to the Amerhart Foundation.
Our areas of focus: Public & Societal Benefit (30%), Human Services (20%), Education (15%), Health (10%), and Other (25%).
Organizations we support: Family Services, YMCA, Unity Hospice, Children’s Museum, Big Brothers/Big Sisters, Boys’ & Girls’ Club, Literacy Green Bay, St. Mary’s Hospital, Bellin Hospital, St. Vincent’s Hospital, University of Wisconsin – Green Bay, St. Norbert College, US Venture Fund, and many, many more.
As a trusted supplier to the building industry since 1940, we are proud of our strong culture, long-term employee base, and legacy of serving and strengthening our communities.
Our structure and culture values (and compensates) results-driven collaboration. We get work done together, and also cover for one another.
Our business has nearly doubled since 2009 as we’ve expanded both geographically and added new capabilities.
Amerhart employees are encouraged to be active members of their local communities. We often match donations and are active sponsors of a variety of events and charities.
We want to see our employees reach their potential in both their professional and personal lives. We offer competitive benefits which include:
