CAN/AM GOLD+™ is a value-priced professional grade plywood from Columbia Forest Products. North American-made and CARB Phase 2 compliant, this product will fill your need for a low cost plywood panel to round out your construction options.

These CAN/AM GOLD+ panels offer more consistent quality, less thickness variation, thicker faces, less telegraphing as well as reduced warping and moisture problems than many imported or domestic low-cost alternatives.

The Veneer Core is made with alternating veneer inner plies. In North America, the innerply species are usually softwood (fir or pine) on the west coast and poplar or aspen on the east coast. Veneer core panels are relatively light in comparison with composite panels, typically weighing about 70 lbs. per 3/4" panel. Veneer core offers great strength and stability with better spanning properties than either particle board or medium density fiberboard (MDF). Veneer core does have a wider variance in thickness in comparison with highly engineered PBC or MDF.

Because all of Columbia’s veneer core panels are made with soy flour-based formaldehyde-free PureBond® technology, they are CARB Phase 2 compliant and contribute to LEED® and other Green Building credits.

The UV finished surface makes this product a beautiful real wood alternative for kitchen cabinets, store fixtures or anywhere a durable, clear finish is required. This versatile modified acrylate finish is tough, resisting scrapes, chips and the effects of solvent wipe down.
