LP NovaCore™ Thermal Insulated Sheathing combines OSB sheathing with XPS foam to provide continuous insulation without the long-term R-value deterioration associated with other foam insulation products.

LP NovaCore Thermal Insulated Sheathing made with Owens Corning® FOAMULAR® NGX™ XPS foam provides continuous insulation without the long-term R-value deterioration associated with other foam insulation products. To create NovaCore™ Thermal Insulated Sheathing, a 7/16-inch OSB panel is combined with a 1-inch Owens Corning Foamular® NGX™ XPS Foam board designed for thermal efficiency. Owens Corning foam doesn’t absorb water, offering a long term R-value that stays reliable at R-5 per inch and increases with cooler temperatures without concern of degradation. XPS foam combined with OSB sheathing creates durable NovaCore panels designed for use as wall sheathing.

Panels can be cut and drilled the same as regular OSB and installed in a vertical or horizontal orientation, provided that all panel edges are supported and fastened to wall framing or blocking. LP NovaCore is only to be used as wall sheathing and as specified in the installation instructions.
