Head Wall Flashing is used to seal the gap between a metal roof and a wall. Installed along the headwall, it prevents water from penetrating the roof deck and causing leaks or damage to the roof or wall structure.

On metal roofing systems that use J channel or Z channel, a head wall flashing is designed to hook on the channel and extend up behind the wall exterior. On shingle and slate roofs, the head wall flashing sits on the first layer of roofing and is then covered by the second layer.
